The Youth Director is responsible for leading, discipling, and mentoring students (typically middle school and high school) to grow in their faith and develop a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. This role focuses on building a dynamic youth ministry that engages students spiritually, socially, and relationally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Youth Ministry Leadership
- Plan and lead weekly youth services, Bible studies, and small groups
- Develop engaging, relevant teaching that aligns with church doctrine
- Create a welcoming and safe environment for students
2. Discipleship & Spiritual Growth
- Mentor and disciple youth through one-on-one and group interactions
- Encourage spiritual disciplines such as prayer, Bible reading, and service
- Equip students to live out their faith in daily life
3. Relationship Building
- Build strong relationships with students and their families
- Provide pastoral care, guidance, and support to youth
- Partner with parents to support spiritual development at home
4. Events & Activities
- Organize youth events, camps, retreats, and mission trips
- Plan outreach initiatives to engage new students
- Ensure all activities are safe, well-coordinated, and impactful
5. Volunteer Leadership
- Recruit, train, and lead youth ministry volunteers
- Schedule and support leaders for small groups and events
- Foster a healthy and unified leadership team
6. Collaboration & Administration
- Work with church leadership to align youth ministry with overall vision
- Manage youth ministry budget and resources
- Maintain attendance records, communication, and program planning

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lead both structured programs and relational ministry
